Brocéliande Professionnel, the brand of cooperative french breeders, is launching the Cooperl Environmental Charter Diced Pork Shoulder meat - 60/80g - chilled - 2.5 kg bag. The "Cooperl Environmental Charter" is an approach that has been fully recognised as equivalent to level 2 Environmental Certification (=CE2) by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the first and only pork chain to have obtained this CE2 certification. This charter respects the obligations set by law: biodiversity protection, phytosanitary strategy, fertilisation and water resource management. In breeding, our commitments go further, with a whole section on Animal Welfare: our piglets are not castrated, our pigs grow up without antibiotics from the end of weaning. Products from Cooperl Environment Charter certified farms are eligible for article 24 of the EGalim law, and can enable collective restaurants to respect the 30% minimum requirement. The interest for collective catering professionals is to meet the requirements of the law and to take a (big) step in favour of the environment and animal welfare while remaining within an acceptable budgetary constraint. Thanks to their responsible purchases, catering customers are helping French pig farmers to move upward and make the ecological transition.
