-This is where Sowakajuen Co.,Ltd. work begins, in 6 ha of beautiful terraced fields located in the Arida district of Wakayama Prefecture. Here, following the motto “create delicious mikan” the cultivation department grows Sowakajuen Orchard’s unique mikan, including ”Ajikoi mikan”, along with other popular citrus fruits such as Ogonkan. They are also working on ICT agriculture together with Fujitsu and are digitizing operations using the internet. Their young employees can be seen working hard every day in the orchard.
At Sowakajuen Co.,Ltd. we do not only grow and process our own products, we also sell them. The sales department is actively developing a market for our products through exhibiting products at each business meeting, and giving out samples at our sales outlets. They are making full use of their thorough knowledge of mikan to expand Arida mikan not only within Japan but all around the world.
