Information

Aromandise green mate is wild harvested in Parana, Brazil, far from intensive agricultural areas. Green Mate is still found in its native state in some areas of southern Brazil. It grows naturally in the shade of the forest. Wild mate is collected by hand every two years, while cultivated mate is collected every 12 to 18 months. This gives it a higher level of caffeine and natural antioxidants than cultivated mate. In addition, the longer the time between harvests, the more flavourful the mate leaves will be. It is produced by one of the associations that exploit the wild mate on their properties, which includes about 60 families, defending their way of life and the preservation of the local ecosystem.
